Taff has developed and patented state of the art technology, pioneering a revolutionary new form of capturing and reproducing optimal sound quality for acoustic instruments. The optical pickup technology is a simple, organic approach to sound capture which uses the instruments body to modulate a path of light.

Dr. Robert Lieberman Ph.D. CTO
Alan received his BS degree in Physics and Electronics from the University of Warwick and his PhD in Optical Spectroscopy from the University of Leeds in the UK. He is a Fellow of the Optical Society of America.
